Cou Cou Studio is based in Missoula, Montana and provides wedding photography in Missoula and across the state.  At Cou Cou Studio © we believe in modern photos with stories to tell.  Happy, funny, breathtaking, ridiculous stories.  On a scale of importance from 1 to 10 we rate creativity with a 23.  We are obsessed with making clients ecstatic and consistently exceeding expectations.  We believe you share in our love of life, frivolity and fantastic photography.  And a day-in-day-out fascination with color, composition and artistic expression for good measure.

So let's start a conversation.  Let's start talking about what kind of images you believe in.  What kind of moments you want to freeze and how Cou Cou Studio © can be a part of them.  Every story has to start somewhere.  We hope yours starts with us.  You can also follow us on Twitter or fan us on Facebook.

Montana Wedding: Morgan & Joe – Ceremony & Details

One Griz, one Cat, and a spectacular sunny day in Montana made for a fantastic wedding at Green Valley Ranch for Morgan and Joe.  Second shooting this event for Lindsey Jane Photography made for a great day.  I loved the button details at this wedding and the “MoJoe” theme.  Fun colors, a sweet ceremony, and perfect mountain weather made this a really beautiful wedding.  Check back tomorrow for all the reception fun right down to the feather boa’s and all night dance party!

Montana Wedding: Morgan & Joe – Portraits and First Looks

When Lindsey Jane of Lindsey Jane Photography asked me to second shoot this wedding I was thrilled.  Not only is Green Valley Ranch a spectacular venue, but the event was being coordinated by Tanya Gersh who always does a job beyond A+ level.  Of course the event didn’t disappoint right down to how nice Morgan, Joe and family were.  Enjoy these shots from the first look session and portraits before the wedding and check back tomorrow for images from the ceremony.  Congrats guys!

Whitefish Lake Lodge Wedding: Mandie & Kirk

Mandie and Kirk were married at the end of the dock of The Lodge at Whitefish Lake at sunset this past November.  I was so happy when they asked me to shoot their private ceremony.  The couple chose to do a first look beforehand followed by a portrait session.  Then they tied the knot on the water in what was one of the last weekends before we were covered in snow here.  I had a great time capturing this kind couple’s ceremony.  Thanks you guys and congrats to you both!

Montana Wedding: Katie & Keith’s Rustic Farm Reception

Vintage bottles, beeswax candles, cut glass dishes, and farm fresh food made this wedding reception tasty and beautiful.  From the curry squash soup served in pumpkin tourines (the bride’s idea) to the African inspired chicken dish, The Cuisine Machine did a fantastic job catering as usual.  I have to say, there lots of great caterers in the Flathead Valley but I do hear consistently how much people love The Cuisine Machine and this wedding is a good example of why.  After a delicious dinner, the couple and their friends danced the night away under paper lanterns.  A pretty ending to a beautiful event.  Congrats you guys!

Montana Wedding: Katie and Keith Get Married

Trego, Montana provided a breathtaking backdrop for Katie and Keith’s outdoor wedding.  The family homestead farm is beautiful year round and it was exceptionally pretty for the couple’s September wedding.  They narrowly escaped rainy weather as both the day before and after it just dumped rain.  Three cheers and congrats to Katie and Keith.  Check back tomorrow for details from their outdoor reception, complete with one long dinner table of farm fresh food.

Montana Wedding: Portraits and First Looks

I shot portraits of Katie while Lido shot portraits of Keith before the ceremony.  They then had their first look at each other over on the family property.  I love doing sessions like this before the wedding.  It’s so nice for the couple to be able to go straight away from the wedding ceremony to festivities.  And seriously – how great do these folks look.  Glamour in a field – gotta love it.  Her dress is from David’s Bridal and the headpiece is from Etsy.  Love a girl looking great and still doing it for a deal.  And all of the peacock details down to the boutineers are so cute.  Check back tomorrow for all kinds of beautifulness from their sunset wedding.

Montana Wedding: Katie and Keith Getting Ready

One couple in love, one amazing family homestead, and the closest friends and family = one really sweet wedding.  This wedding has been in the making since last Summer and Katie and Keith did a wonderful job bringing together their love for each other, their family, the family farm, and delicious food.  Plus, they got extra lucky with some amazing and warm sunny weather in Montana’s unpredictable September.  Keith got ready at the Vizzutti family homestead.  Grandpa Vizzutti built this front porch himself.  Katie got dressed at a friend’s home down the road where she and her sisters and friends stayed the night before.  Check out this post to see all the details of them both getting ready.  Then come back each day this week to see the rest of their wedding and ceremony.

Montana Wedding Preview: Katie

I’m currently halfway through editing this gorgeous wedding and I had to just quickly post this photo of Katie.  I mean seriously — how beautiful does she look.  Look for full posts later this week and next after the holiday.  Till then, this is a great antidote to the blustery winter weather out the window right now.  Congrats Katie and Keith!  Can’t wait to see you at our house on Thursday for turkey fun.

St. Louis Wedding – Coronado Ballroom Reception

The Coronado Ballroom provided an elegant backdrop for Becca and Kurt’s reception.  From the synchronized waitstaff who set down entire tables of plates at the same time to the sky projected on the ceiling, no detail was left to chance.  And one thing is for certain: these folks were ready to dance.  From the bride and groom’s choreographed first dance to the spontaneous dance circle the guests made – getting down was a top priority for these folks.  Thanks for such a fun night guys!  Congrats!!

St. Louis Wedding – Wedding Day Fun

Becca and Kurt were married at the Second Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, Missouri.  This beautiful old church was a fantastic setting with stained glass windows and Romanesque Revival style architecture.  The couple had a beautiful ceremony and took photos afterward at the church as well as at the Slough Campus at St. Louis University.  Fantastic September weather and sunshine made for great photos.  Check in tomorrow for images from their elegant reception at The Coronado ballroom.
