It’s that time of year again. Wedding Expo time. We’ll be there this Saturday at the Flathead County Fairgrounds with happy smiles and hot coffee to talk with you about your upcoming wedding. You gotta love a good party. And the Nixs and Pastranas are good at throwing just that. This wedding reception was so fun and it seemed everyone from the bride and groom to the guests agreed. Plus, who doesn’t want to celebrate under a spanish moss hanging from a giant tree on a warm summer night? Ok…this could just be me. But I’m just sayin’ — these folks know how to get down!
Snowy and cold weather here in Montana is making me wish it was as beautiful outside now as it was on Jekyll Island for Sarah and Jason’s October wedding. So beautiful from the bridcages hanging in the tree with spanish moss to the slick gettaway car. Such a great couple and their wedding reflected a great Southern sensibility with creative twists. These two adorable kids had fun day out with me and my camera back in November. They are so cute and it was a perfect fall day.

What do you get when you add a sweet ride, a Southern Island, a driftwood beach, and two extremely creative lovebirds? A ridiculously fun wedding portrait session. Sarah and Jason were totally game for taking time away from their wedding to hop around the Jekyll Island coast, climb trees, and dig their toes into the sand. Don’t worry — their guests were having a great time at the cocktail hour while we went adventuring.

I was so happy and honored to be a part of Sarah and Jason’s wedding this fall at the Jekyll Island Club. They thought of every detail from the picturesque birdcages hanging in the tree above their ceremony to the fun salsa music at the ceremony to get their guests jiving on the dance floor. This weekend I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Sarah Nix and Jason Pastrana. Their families were wonderfully welcoming and everyone was ready to celebrate. I love a good wedding party who really knows how to celebrate. These folks did which made shooting their reception that much more fun. From cocktails at sunset on Whitefish Lake to the dinner and dancing afterward, they had a fantastic evening full of fun and memorable moments with family and friends.
